Marco Fusi - viola d´amore
Den italienska musikern Marco Fusi spelar viola d'amore; ett gammalt 14-strängat stråkinstrument. De fyra skandinaviska tonsättarna Ylva Lund Bergner, Johan Svensson, Axel Rudebeck och Øyvind Mæland har komponerat nya verk för detta närmast bortglömda instrument, som hade sin storhetstid under renässans och tidig barock. Konserten genomförs i samarbete med Nordiska kulturfonden och Italienska kulturinstitutet i Stockholm.

Marco Fusi, violinist, violist and composer, has studied with Dimitrios Polisoidis, Ernst Kovacic and Jeanne-Marie Conquer.
Marco has performed with conductors and soloists including Pierre Boulez, Lorin Maazel, Peter Eötvös , Beat Furrer, Susanna Mälkki, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Gustav Kuhn, Jürg Wyttenbach, Jean Deroyer, and Marco Angius. He has premiered new works by composers Castiglioni, Eötvös, Sciarrino, Vacchi, and Cattaneo, among others. Marco has had the opportunity to perform concerts in renowned halls such as the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, KKL Konzertsaal in Lucerne, Royaumont abbey Paris, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome ,Beyond Baroque in Los Angeles, Experimental Intermedia in NYC, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, and the Béla Bartók Concert Hall in Budapest.
His more recent project is devoted to viola d'amore and electronic, featuring works of italian emerging composers (Lorenzo Romano, Clara Iannotta, Federico Gardella among others) have been premièred at Biennale Venice in October 2013, followed by concerts in Milano, Rome, Paris, Boston, NYC
