"In Agnas’ hands, the electric guitar continues to reveal undreamt of possibilities." - Eyal Hareuveni Salt Peanuts.
"Guitarist Kasper Agnas has been a hot name on the Swedish jazz scene in recent years. He has collaborated with musicians such as Per Texas Johansson, David Stackenäs and Joakim Milder, among others. As a member of the group Agnas Bros, he has received great attention in Europe. In 2017, he won the Montreux Jazz Festival's guitar soloist prize and was praised by jury member Wolfgang Muthspiel with the following justification:
"The gap between the young Swede and his competitors was judged to be so considerable that the jury decided not to attribute the second prize.”
During 2019-2022, Kasper worked on his acclaimed solo project and released the album "Grain" in 2021 on Haphazard Music and in 2023 "Grain - Live" on FRIM's label.
A slow, simple and sometimes raw music that resulted in four pieces; half composed, half improvised. At Musikvalvet Baggen Kasper brings this concept and explores it together with Pär-Ola Landin on bass in a more jazz-oriented context.
